Artist's Statement

The central and fundamental direction in my work is color.

In art, I am interested in combinations of different contrasting forms, expressed both by combining

incongruous shades, through which I try to find harmony in a particular work, as well as combinations, incompatible with conventional concepts of beauty.

For example, I am interested in creating works that look uneven, that do not have a “perfect” shape,

that are crooked, that's where I see beauty. I like to complement these irregularities with elements of decoration or clothing.

In my opinion, they do not decorate or cover these imperfections of form, but on the contrary, they emphasize the characteristics of the characters I'm portraying or the interior in which I'm creating the subject.

The techniques and genres of my works are quite diverse and multimedia.

The main ones are: photography, painting, sculpture and textiles.

I also like to experiment with the interaction of mediums with each other: canvas-fabric, canvas-clay, clay-wire, and so on.

I am attracted to the “naive” and vivid visual style of the image.

My work often shows sadness in the very essence of the work, but the visually bright colors detract from this, which is what I achieve, so that the viewer can immediately see the bright colors and think that it is something joyful, but in fact, at the underlying the idea is perhaps a tragic, complex and intense theme.
